Metro Class Sacco
Scorpio
$50.00
Scorpio packed a sting on Ongata Line Sacco's routes, its design dominated by the zodiac sign's aggressive arachnid imagery. The scorpion — a symbol of danger, protection, and intensity — was a natural fit for a matatu that wanted to project toughness on Nairobi's roads. Dennis Muraguri's woodcut captures the tension in the curved tail and poised stinger. Ongata Line Sacco serves routes between Nairobi and the Ongata Rongai area, a rapidly growing commuter corridor where matatu competition is fierce. A memorable design like Scorpio helped this particular vehicle stand out in a crowded field, becoming a recognisable fixture on the route. This reproduction c-type print suits those drawn to symbolic imagery, zodiac themes, or bold graphic design. The scorpion's stark silhouette against negative space makes it a striking piece for a focused, contemporary interior.
