Dreamland
$50.00
Dreamland — an Ongata Line Sacco matatu that offered commuters an escape from Nairobi's traffic into a fantasy realm. The name conjures a state of reverie, a mental getaway from the honking horns and crowded minibus benches. Dennis Muraguri's woodcut captures the dreamlike quality of the original livery, where imagination took the wheel. In matatu culture, names often reflect aspiration — Dreamland is a promise of somewhere better, a destination that exists in the mind if not on any route map. This print documents that optimistic impulse, the refusal to let daily commuting crush the human spirit. This reproduction print brings a touch of that dreaminess into your home or workspace. It suits dreamers, daydreamers, and anyone who appreciates art that acknowledges the grind while rising above it.
