Beba
Beba Salasa!
$50.00
Beba Salasa! — a Panorama Format entry in the Beba series. 'Salasa' likely references a local term or name, adding personality to the familiar Beba framework. The sign-off is a matatu crew's assurance: we will carry you, safely and with style. Dennis Muraguri's woodcut captures the horizontal lettering layout. The Beba series spans multiple formats and variations, making it one of the most comprehensively documented matatu design families in Muraguri's body of work. This panorama version showcases how the same theme adapts to different vehicle proportions and crew preferences. This wide-format print makes an excellent statement piece, its horizontal composition drawing the eye across the full breadth of the artwork. It suits a long wall or above a sofa in a modern living space.
